Model UN is a well-recognized program for young men and women interested in understanding how the UN operates. A great number of students throughout the world participate in the Model UN each and every year at all the educational levels. A number of leaders these days leaders in law, government, enterprise organization and the arts – including the UN itself – participates in the Model UN as student each and every year.
The United Nations Model UN Programme aims to produce and sustain robust links between the UN and Model UN participants across the globe. This is achieved through a number of guides and workshops, which educate students on how to make their simulations significantly accurate; by going to Model UN conferences and sharing firsthand information of what the real UN is like; and by encouraging Model UN clubs to consider taking real action to aid the UN values and the Sustainable Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs)
